𝟣̶𝟤̶ 8 New Releases // June 2026
Well it is more 8 new releases than 12 this month. It seems a lot of American June releases are actually coming out in July or August in the UK this year. Nevertheless, there are still 8 books I am excited about this month…
Just to say, if you don’t know why I started doing 12 new releases, please read January’s blog post.

Here are the 8 June releases I am most excited for…

I have included the title, author and synopsis of the books in the image above, below:
The Unicorn Hunters by Katherine Arden
“When her homeland is invaded and her father driven to his death, young Anne of Brittany inherits an occupied realm and an empty treasury. To complete their subjugation, her enemies demand she marry the King of France. But bound by a vow to her father to keep Brittany free, Anne defiantly betroths herself in secret to France’s greatest rival. In a world where courtly magic exposes every secret, she must flee to a deep, enchanted forest. A blind spot for enemy diviners. Under the guise of a unicorn hunt to solemnize the illicit union. It is a clever ruse, until the impossible happens: a real unicorn appears, and a wounded stranger collapses at her feet. Plunged into a world of ancient enchantments, the doomed sovereign faces a perilous fate. She must either harness this mysterious power to rewrite her nation’s destiny, or be lost in the mist forever.”
Romantic Hero by Kirsty Greenwood
“Gertie Bickerstaff writes happily-ever-afters for a living. Or she did, until her own love life imploded. Now, with a looming deadline, a thriving ex, and severe writer’s block, her life is in chaos. Things get weirder when she wakes up to find a rugged, shirtless cowboy on her sofa. He isn’t just anyone; he is River Oakley, the villain from her unfinished novel, somehow brought to life. River wants to return home, and Gertie desperately wants her sanity back. They strike a deal: he will use his cunning ways to help her win back her ex, and in exchange, she will finish the book so he can go back to his world. But as River proves to be much more than just a bad guy, Gertie faces an unexpected choice: pursue the ending she thought she wanted, or embrace a plot twist she never saw coming.”
The Last Time We Saw Her by Jaclyn Goldis
“Ten years ago, a heritage trip to a remote Azores island turned tragic when a group of American teenage campers went searching for a legendary buried treasure. The frenzied hunt culminated in the mysterious disappearance, and rumored murder, of “it girl” Sydney, who vanished without a trace. A decade later, Sydney’s sister, childhood camp friends, and former counselors return to the paradise island to film a documentary probing her disappearance. But as the group retraces their old haunts among crater lakes and hot springs, it becomes clear that not everyone has innocent motives. When the filming uncovers explosive secrets and fresh clues resurrect the tantalizing treasure hunt, old feuds reignite with dangerous intensity. The reunion quickly implodes when one of them turns up dead, forcing the survivors to realize that a murderer is walking among them once again.”
The Someday Garden by Ashley Poston
“Sophie Drear never expected to fall in love, but a summer in Maine changes everything when she loses her heart to the dazzling flowers and towering hedge maze of Lilymoor House. Her life grows complicated when a mysterious door begins to appear in the maze, never in the same place twice. It leads to a disheveled, hidden garden and a beguiling, tempestuous man confined within its walls. As Sophie battles encroaching vines, she also finds herself caught between Lilymoor’s owner’s two inconveniently handsome nephews on the outside and the mysterious stranger trapped within. Believing she is the only person who can help Lilymoor bloom again, Sophie must navigate her tangled feelings. Stuck between two worlds and multiple suitors, she must discover if the seeds of romance can truly blossom into something more, or if she will get caught in the thorns.”
The Death Row Club by V. A. Vazquez
“Nicola Fischer’s life is in ruins after her father is convicted of murdering five women, including her best friend. Hounded by reporters, she passes the time drunk-dialing Greer Woods, the alluring podcast host who cracked the case before vanishing. When Greer unexpectedly sends a cryptic invitation, Nicola accepts. She joins the “Death Row Club,” an annual wilderness retreat for the adult children of serial killers. Desperate for escape, Nicola bonds with the other members, who seem only slightly unhinged. But the peace is shattered when an uninvited guest arrives, plunging the group into paranoia. The next morning, fear turns to absolute terror when one of their own is found dead. Cut off from the world, the remaining members are forced to face a horrifying question: if the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, which of them has continued the family tradition?”
Nine Lives by Catherine Steadman
“Reeling from a recent divorce, Frankie moves into a glamorous London neighborhood to start fresh with her beautiful Persian cat, Blue. But the perfection of her new life quickly unravels when Blue slips home one night with a chilling message roughly scratched into his collar: HELP ME. Unsettled and unable to ignore the plea, Frankie attaches an old “Cat Cam” collar to Blue to see where he’s been wandering. What begins as a voyeuristic glimpse into her neighbors’ private lives soon turns into a dark obsession. As Blue’s camera captures the neighborhood’s hidden secrets, Frankie uncovers a perilous truth. One of her seemingly ordinary neighbors is a killer, and her quest for answers threatens to bring untold terrors right to her doorstep.”
Chase Me If You Can by Heather Frances
“Wedding photographer Sloane Michaels spends most of her year running after brides, but she lives for the six weeks each spring she spends chasing tornadoes instead. When a prestigious nature magazine announces a storm-cover contest, Sloane knows winning is her ticket to breaking into landscape photography. The last thing she needs is a distraction like reckless storm-chasing legend “Wild Wes” Talbot. Wes is her decade-long frenemy, and he’s also the man to beat. When an accident jeopardizes Wes’s chances, Sloane’s determination to win fair and square prompts her to begrudgingly invite him along for the rest of the season. As they race through high winds and stormy skies, Sloane realizes there is far more to Wes than his flirty wildcard persona. Soon, the feelings brewing between them prove to be even more highly charged than the powerful storms they chase.”
Witch Season by Julia Bianco
“As an enforcer for Los Angeles’ Aestas coven, Katherine Barnes maintains order and recruits “unsettled” witches. Those whose dormant magic explodes in catastrophic bursts. Having survived that volatile transformation herself, Katherine is fiercely loyal to her coven’s founder. Enter Silas Khatri, the wealthy heir to Noctis, the most powerful coven in the country. Silas arrives to challenge Aestas’s unconventional practices, sparking an instant, blistering animosity with Katherine. She loathes his coven’s dangerous attitude toward unsettled witches, and the fact that she finds him frustratingly attractive only fuels the fire. However, their personal clash is sidelined when an insidious new threat emerges, overshadowing the hidden witch world’s decades-long power struggle. To survive, Katherine and Silas must put aside their differences and work together. But as tensions escalate, this rising danger threatens to ignite an all-out supernatural war.”
