Happy New Year 🎊 With 2025 coming to an end, I c Happy New Year 🎊

With 2025 coming to an end, I couldn’t resist joining this trend again. It’s made me realise how important it is to document the good moments.

Even the quiet ones 📸

2025 was a year of growth, connection, and learning what a steadier life can look like. When I look back through my photos and memories, I can see just how much has changed. Gently, but meaningfully.

This year I…

💼 Started a new job that I love.
📚 Grew within the book community, joined some fantastic readathons, and made so many lovely book friends.
🎟️ Went to my very first book event.
✨ Met the wonderful Lucy Jane Wood.
☀️ Spent more sunny days reading in the hammock.
💻 Had my most productive year yet with my blog and content creation.
🍽️ Enjoyed more time with friends and many more meals out.
🚗 Travelled better and further than I have in years.
❤️‍🩹 Took part in more bowel and stoma-related events online and met some truly amazing people.
🧬 Uncovered new ancestors and family records.
🎃 Said hello to even more trick or treaters this year.
🔥 Went through my first full year with no flare-ups.
🏋🏻‍♀️ Joined the gym (it didn’t last as long as planned, but I’m hopeful for the year ahead).
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Reconnected with family I hadn’t seen in a long time.

But, as with life, there were lows too.

We said goodbye to our beloved girl, Gwen, after 15 years 🤍 Losing her has been the biggest change to daily life since my stoma surgery. And not one I’ve adjusted to quickly. She is missed every single day.

2025 wasn’t perfect, but I’m ending the year proud, grateful, and hopeful.

Here’s to 2026 🥂
