Maybelline New York Colossal Bubble Mascara // The August Review
Maybelline is my go to brand for mascaras. When I saw the reviews for this, I knew it was next on my to try list.

- Light wand, which is easy to use.

Cons:
- Can flake.
The Verdict:
This mascara really surprised me. With just one swipe it manages to thicken my lashes, giving them that long, full look without clumping. I love that it’s buildable too, so if I want a little extra drama, I can layer it up. But honestly, I wouldn’t go beyond two coats. After that, I do notice it starting to flake, which takes away from the otherwise flawless finish.
Formula-wise, though, it’s probably my favourite I’ve tried in a long time. It feels lightweight, doesn’t weigh down my lashes, and gives that bold, fluttery effect I love. My only gripe is with the brush. While the bubble shape definitely helps coat every lash, I wish it was just a touch smaller. That way, I’d have less chance of poking myself when trying to get right from the root to the tip.
Overall, if you’re looking for volume, definition, and impact at an affordable price point, this mascara ticks a lot of boxes.
