Garnier Body Repair Restoring Moisturiser // The August Review
I hadn’t really branched into Garnier for bodycare in the past few years, but when Caroline Hirons raved about the Body Repair Moisturiser, I knew I had to try it. I trust anything she recommends, and this one definitely lived up to the hype.

Garnier Body Repair Restoring Moisturiser – £5.99 RRP
The brand describes the product as:
“Garnier Intensive Body & Hand Repair was specially formulated for extra dry and rough skin. Enriched with Maple Sap, known for its soothing properties, the formula nourishes the skin with moisture and soothes skin from discomfort and tightness. Rough areas feel smoothed and the skin is protected from feeling dry. Skin feels supple and soft for up to 24 hours.”
Pros:
- Affordable, and always find it on great offers.
- Leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated.
- A good size.
- Smells lovely.
- A great non-greasy, thick consistency. Which spreads like butter.
- Sinks into skin without leaving a “sticky” feeling.
Cons:
- Difficult to get ahold of.
The Verdict:
I’ve been struggling with really dry skin lately, particularly on my legs. My usual moisturiser just wasn’t cutting it during the recent UK heatwave, so after seeing Caroline Hirons rave about this, I decided to pick one up and give it a try.
Honestly, I wish I’d stocked up because this is so hard to get ahold of!
From the very first use, my skin felt softer, smoother, and properly nourished. It sinks in beautifully without that heavy or sticky residue you often get with richer body creams. Which means I can apply it and get dressed straight after without worrying about it transferring onto my clothes.
The scent is subtle but really lovely, and it leaves my skin feeling hydrated all day long. My legs in particular look healthier, less dull, and the tight, uncomfortable feeling I usually get when my skin is dry has completely gone.
This has now earned a permanent spot in my routine. It’s rare I find a moisturiser that actually does what it promises, but this one really delivers. If you’re dealing with dryness and want something that works quickly, feels comfortable, and leaves your skin hydrated, I can’t recommend it enough.
