My Top 5 Golden Globe Red Carpet Looks

It’s that time of the year again, the Golden Globe awards were this past Sunday and here are my top 5 favourite looks from the Red Carpet.

Hannah Waddingham

The ‘Ted Lasso’ actress killed it in this Suzanne Neville gown.

I have loved seeing Hannah Waddingham on my screen more, recently. Not only because I love her, but because I love her style too.

The corset-style top goes perfectly with the mermaid-style bottom. What I think sells this for me, is the long sleeves with the lace detail carrying down. As well as keeping the same on the train.

The side part with the curl to frame her face adds to the whole look. And I think a pink nude lip option was *chef’s kiss*.

This Golden Globe Red Carpet is one of my favourite event looks from Hannah so far.

Suzanne Nevile has done it again.

Natalie Portman

This glitzy gown was by Dior, and actress Natalie Portman glowed in it.

I love how Natalie or her team, decided on a very subtle hair and makeup look. Gorgeous lashing of her eyes and carving of her cheekbones, she subtly stood out with her makeup. Complementing the dress perfectly.

The dress has a very subtle ombre effect on the skirt. It makes Natalie look taller and adds to the movement.

When watching the red carpet footage, there were moments I could see the dress must have been heavy. But, it didn’t come across that way at all.

I also really like this kind of neckline for Natalie. It suits her very well.

Issa Rae

Our President Barbie came to the Golden Globe Awards in full glitzy armour.

I’m always excited to see this kind of look. Where a masculine concept meets femininity.

The placement of the elements (swirls and lines) elongates her figure and carves out her waistline beautifully.

The colour is my favourite. This orange bronze is perfect for Issa’s skin tone and just admits power.

Keeping a simple hairstyle and makeup was the perfect choice, as it worked well with how this dress shone.

Designed by Pamella Roland, I am excited to see if Issa or any other celebrities pick this kind of look for future 2024 red-carpet events.

Brie Larson

This was my personal favourite of the night. Brie Larson is 100% in her ‘Speak Now’ Era.

The ‘Lessons in Chemistry’ actress looked every bit classic Hollywood, in this, I want to say, Queen Anne neckline lilac gown.

A Queen Anne neckline would usually have thicker straps but I am glad they were not like that on this dress. It opened up Brie’s neck and jawline beautifully.

The classic style jewellery emphasises the old Hollywood glam theme I am seeing here.

Dressed by Prada, I think this style works well for Brie and the colour suits her to a T too.

I just loved, loved, loved this look!

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift wore Gucci to this year’s Golden Globe Awards. As always, the record-breaking artist knew how to dress for such an event.

Dripping in sequins, I loved the cut of this dress and the feature of a structured bra coupled with the low back. I think it gave an elegance whilst being edgy and almost playful with the way the skirt moved.

The waterfall earrings were my favourite jewlerry feature. I like how she didn’t over-accessorise with a necklace. It allowed the dress to speak for itself.

I feel Taylor is known for her curls, whether the ringlet style from her Fearless Era or the glamourous style curls she rocked on the red carpet. The way they fell behind her shoulders and accentuated her shoulder line was to die for.

And those are my favourite red carpet looks from this year’s Golden Globe awards. Comment below or as always, find me on FacebookTwitterInstagram or Pinterest.

As always, thanks for reading…
