A Christmas Hamper Guide For… All Things Hair Care
Hair care can be so lovely for hamper gifting. Whether you’re buying for someone who loves a quiet pamper night or someone who’s always testing the latest styling launch.
You can keep it focused with a theme or mix a few favourites so they’ve got a little a ready to go routine. It’s also one of those categories that feels genuinely useful and easy to tailor. Especially when you’re shopping for different ages, hair types or levels of enthusiasm.
On that note, I’m not including shampoos or conditioners in this guide. Simply because textures, needs and routines vary so widely. Think dyed versus natural hair, curly versus straight, long versus short…it becomes a bit like picking someone’s perfect foundation shade. So instead, this post highlights other parts of hair care that can make a lovely addition to any hamper.

1. Hair Brushes and Combs
A good hairbrush can make a surprising difference and works so well in a hamper because it’s something people rarely buy for themselves.
From detangling brushes to blow-dry paddles, and from wide-tooth combs to fine-tooth styling options, there’s something for every hair type and routine. Although I haven’t included shampoos and conditioners in this guide because those choices are so personal, most brush and comb brands now offer ranges designed for different textures and needs, which makes choosing one far less complicated.
I also separated brushes and combs from hair accessories simply because there are so many styles, materials and uses that they genuinely deserve their own space.
They also make a brilliant starting point for a themed hamper. You could pair a wide-tooth comb with a hydrating leave-in treatment, or match a round brush with a styling cream for someone who loves a bouncy, salon-style finish. With so many options available, brushes and combs are the best starting point.
2. Electrical Hair Stylers
Electricals can make a hamper feel luxurious. Curling wands, straighteners and compact hair dryers all work brilliantly as a standout item. Especially for someone new to hair care or who loves styling.
What’s great now is how many electricals come in a wide range of price points, so you don’t need to splurge to include something impressive.
Travel-sized tools are perfect for teens, students or anyone who’s short on space, and they slot into a hamper really neatly without feeling bulky. Whereas multi-styling options are perfect for someone starting their journey or wanting to explore. If you want to lean into a theme, you could build a full styling-focused hamper with heat protectant spray, sectioning clips and a mini brush to go alongside the electrical tool.
3. Hair Styling Products
Without diving into the trickier world of shampoos and conditioners, hair care, at its heart, is all about protecting and maintaining healthy strands. The products in this section really focus on that. From split-end–targeting formulas to heat protectants and deeply hydrating masks. There are so many options that support the hair rather than overwhelm it.
This category also gives you the strongest opportunity for a themed hamper, because you can build it from scalp to ends. Scalp scrubs, strengthening serums, mid-length treatments and nourishing masks all work beautifully together. And you can tailor them even more if you know the recipient’s hair type.
Whether they battle dryness, love heat styling or simply enjoy a weekly pamper, this is the section that lets you be creative.
4. Hair Accessories
Accessories are perfect for rounding off a hair care hamper and adding those little touches that make it feel complete. Scrunchies, claw clips, sleep caps and fun bows are all great options. Especially for someone who loves their accessories.
Whether they prefer neutrals, bold pops of colour, some glitz and glam or fun character prints, there is so much choice. Which creates great ideas such as a work hair accessory option and/or a night out accessory option for a hamper.
These pieces also help support healthy hair habits by reducing breakage and encouraging heat-free styling. Affordable and fun, accessories bring everything together and they’re great for every age.
And that’s the Hair Care Christmas Hamper Guide.
