Bionsen Dermoprotective 0% Aluminium Stick Deodorant // The August Review

After using the underarm products from Megababe, I went on the hunt for a cheaper deodorant and found the Bionsen Dermoprotective 0% Aluminium Stick Deodorant.

Bionsen Dermoprotective 0% Aluminium Stick Deodorant – £2.99 RRP

The brand describes the product as:

“Our deodorant stick is aluminium and paraben free. It is specially formulated with Japanese Thermal Minerals to prevent unpleasant odours and gently deodorise even the most sensitive skin without preventing perspiration. Providing a freshness that lasts all day”.

Pros:

  • Smells nice.
  • Isn’t greasy.
  • Doesn’t feel sticky.
  • Doesn’t pill.
  • Isn’t too malleable.
  • No marks.

Cons:

  • Isn’t as long lasting as other deodorants.

The Verdict:

I find it strange trying to review a deodorant. You basically want it to leave no marks, smell nice and last long. Well, 2 out of 3 points isn’t bad!

Since using this, alongside the Megababe underarm mask, I can keep my dark underarms at bay. They don’t completely disappear, but having this deodorant as part of my routine has helped a lot.

I was drawn to the brand because I had such great results with Curél , another Japanese brand. Also, being aluminum-free, I think that has made a huge difference. As you can see from my pros list, this doesn’t pill, isn’t sticky or greasy. I have no marks on my clothing and, unlike other stick deodorants, isn’t that malleable. What I mean by that, is that it hasn’t half melted in the bottom of my bag.

It may not be as long lasting as others, but I really like this. Definitely recommend.

As always, thanks for reading…
