12 New Releases // March 2026

Within the last month the 12 new releases did not keep my buying down, but 6 of the books were pre-orders, so I knew they were coming.

If you don’t know why I started doing 12 new releases, please read January’s blog post.

A hand holding a vertical stack of six books against a lush green leafy background. From top to bottom, the spines are: And Now, Back to You by B.K. Borison, Fragile Sanctuary by Catherine Cowles, On Spine of Death by Tamara Berry, The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey, Bat Eater by Kylie Lee Baker, and The God of the Woods by Liz Moore.
My March Possibilities

Below are March’s 12 new releases, spanning romance, cosy reads, literary fiction, thriller and mystery. A little bit of everything, just the way I like it.

The image is a promotional graphic for March book releases from the account @afictionalplace, featuring twelve book covers arranged in a clean, three-row grid against a light grey background. The top row kicks off the month on March 1st with the whimsical, cottage-core aesthetic of First Witches Club by Maisey Yates, followed by three releases on March 3rd: the atmospheric Across the Vanishing Sky by Catherine Cowles, the urban-set No Matter What by Cara Bastone, and the sporty, sunset-hued In Her Own League by Liz Tomforde. The middle row transitions into mid-month with the cozy-mystery style of Spellbound by Murder by Stacie Ramey on the 10th, the moody architectural thriller The Family Friend by Claire Douglas on the 12th, the dark and forest-bound The Girls Before by Kate Alice Marshall on the 16th, and the bright, illustrated romance Love Song by Elle Kennedy on the 17th. The final row wraps up the month with a mix of suspense and emotion, featuring the foggy Where the Truth Lies by Katherine Greene and the starlit The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez both on the 24th, followed by the shadowy Strangers in the Villa by Robyn Harding and the high-contrast, orange-skied Turn Off the Light by Jacquie Walters on the 26th.

I have included the title, author and synopsis of the books in the image above, below:

First Witches Club by Maisey Yates

“Nora, Daisy, and Soraya think their marriages are solid until their husbands prove otherwise. One asks for space at a wellness retreat, one confesses to an affair, and one accidentally sends an intimate photo meant for someone else. Heartbroken and unsure what to do next, the three women are drawn to Lady’s Mantle Apothecary, where they begin embracing long buried magic and reclaiming their power. A little revenge feels good, but the real transformation happens when they open themselves to new love, including a childhood best friend, a charming former TV star, and a mysterious shop owner. With help from an enigmatic apothecary owner, they discover that the strongest magic is not about hexes. It is about friendship, self worth, and choosing your own happily ever after.”

Across the Vanishing Sky by Catherine Cowles

“Braedyn Winslow never planned to return to Starlight Grove, the town that took everything from her, especially after her best friend vanished without a trace. But with a young son to raise and a past that refuses to stay buried, she comes back determined to uncover the truth. She does not expect to find herself drawn to her brooding, reclusive neighbour. Dex Archer is surrounded by rumours thanks to his violent father, yet beneath the silence and scowl Brae finds a fiercely loyal, unexpectedly kind man who is willing to protect her when someone starts warning her to stop digging. As danger closes in, the truth becomes harder to ignore and so do her feelings for Dex. Someone wants her search to end, but Dex will do whatever it takes to keep her safe, even if it means stepping back into the darkness he tried to leave behind.”

No Matter What by Cara Bastone

“It has been a year since Roz and Vin survived a traumatic car accident, and their marriage has never recovered. They can barely look at each other, let alone share a bed. Roz still hopes they can mend what is broken, until she discovers Vin has signed a new lease. Facing the reality of their separation, Roz signs up for a figure drawing class. Avoiding Vin would be easier if he were not her best friend’s brother, and even harder when he offers to model for her. As Roz studies the man she once knew so well, the act of seeing and being seen begins to break down the walls between them. Confronting their pain and the feelings they have buried, they must decide whether their love is truly over or if they can find a way to heal together.”

In Her Own League by Liz Tomforde

“As the first female owner in Major League Baseball, Reese Remington has worked her entire life for this moment. Smart, experienced and determined, she is more than qualified, even if the public only sees a woman in a man’s world. With critics waiting for her to fail, she cannot afford distractions. Emmett Montgomery, a former All Star turned coach, has always run the team his way. He is not thrilled about a new boss who seems all business and questions his approach. But long hours and away games force them together, and Emmett begins to see the passion and pressure driving Reese’s ambition. As sharp banter turns into undeniable chemistry, professional lines start to blur. With the season, her reputation and the team at stake, Reese knows keeping her distance is the safest play. Unfortunately, it is one neither of them seems able to make.”

Spellbound By Murder by Stacie Ramey

“After her grandmother suffers a fall, single mother Veronica Blackthorne moves with her romcom loving teenage daughter to Mystic Hollow, Connecticut, to help save the family bookshop. Delighted to be back in New England, she quickly realises Mystic Hollow Books needs more than a little care, especially with a big box rival threatening its future. Hoping to draw in customers, Veronica plans a literary festival and invites her former mentor and long time crush, bestselling author Adam Whitford, to headline. But when Adam is found dead, Veronica becomes the prime suspect. Determined to clear her name and protect the shop, she begins investigating the murder herself. The stakes rise even higher when her grandmother reveals the truth. The bookshop is magical, and a botched love spell may have set everything in motion.”

The Family Friend by Claire Douglas

“When Imogen inherits a country house near Bath from reclusive artist Dorothea Roe, she is certain there has been a mistake. She has not seen Dorothea in sixteen years, since a tragic summer that changed her life forever. Moving in with her partner Josh feels like a chance at a fresh start, until Imogen discovers a box hidden in Dorothea’s study with her name on it. Convinced it contains a secret message, she begins to question everything she thought she knew. As rumours spread that Dorothea was murdered, the inheritance starts to feel less like a gift and more like a warning. With whispers linking the past to her own family history, Imogen must uncover the truth before she becomes the next target.”

The Girls Before by Kate Alice Marshall

“A search and rescue expert, a kidnapped woman, and the lost girls who haunt them both. A young woman known only as Stranger is trapped in a dark basement, surviving on dwindling supplies and the desperate messages left behind by girls who did not make it out. When the door finally opens, it may not mean freedom, only a new fight to stay alive. Audrey, a search and rescue specialist, has never stopped looking for her childhood best friend Janie, who vanished years ago. When evidence suggests a teenage runaway was abducted from land owned by one of the town’s most powerful families, Audrey begins uncovering long buried secrets. To save the missing girl, she must finally confront the truth about what happened to the others, and to Janie.”

Love Song by Elle Kennedy

“After a brutal breakup, college junior Blake Logan retreats to her family’s lake house in Tahoe, vowing to avoid men and drama. Her plan unravels when Wyatt Graham arrives. The boy who once crushed her teenage confession, he still knows exactly how to get under her skin. With his music career stalled, Wyatt has come to Tahoe searching for inspiration. He does not expect to find it in Blake. No longer the shy girl he remembers, she is confident and impossible to ignore, and the tension between them quickly reignites. What begins as a reckless kiss turns into a passionate summer neither of them planned. But just as they give in to their feelings, tragedy pulls them apart. When fate brings them back together, Blake and Wyatt must decide whether they are ready for a second chance at love or if some stories are meant to end.”

Where The Truth Lies by Katherine Greene

“Told across alternating timelines and multiple points of view, this thriller examines toxic masculinity, gender based violence and female rage. Childhood sweethearts Rhett and Lucinda appear to have the perfect life in their small Kentucky town. But fifteen years earlier, everything nearly fell apart when newcomer Jennifer Moore arrived. A brief but explosive affair between Jennifer and Rhett sparked betrayal, violence and a death surrounded by corruption and deception. Now fresh evidence has emerged, including an eyewitness who places Rhett at the scene of the crime. As suspicion grows, the life he and Lucinda carefully rebuilt begins to unravel. In a town steeped in southern charm and buried secrets, the truth refuses to stay hidden and what lies beneath could destroy them both.”

The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez

“In life, a single choice can change everything. For Larissa, it happened the night she chose which guy to ride home with after a concert. She never expected to meet the perfect man. Now she and Chris share a life full of co-parenting a quirky rescue Yorkie, favourite books, and even bread judging. For the first time amid her busy side hustles, life feels easy. But Chris is not the man who drove her home that night. He is her boyfriend’s best friend. He wants her happiness more than anything, yet standing on the sidelines is slowly wearing him down. Making a move could hurt someone else, and he is not that kind of guy.”

Strangers In The Villa by Robyn Harding

“Sydney Lowe’s life in New York falls apart when her husband Curtis confesses to a meaningless affair with a client. Desperate to prove his devotion, Curtis suggests they retreat to a remote hilltop house in Spain to repair their marriage. High above the Mediterranean, Sydney and Curtis work on the isolated property and their relationship when a pair of Australian travelers arrive, desperate for help. Seeking companionship and willing hands, they invite the young couple to stay. But as dark secrets emerge, the Lowes’ bond is pushed to the limit, and not everyone will leave the villa alive.”

Turn Off The Light by Jacquie Walters

“The Devil enters through doors left open. On Virginia’s isolated Eastern Shore, Edith is a healer watched by unseen eyes. Shadows move where they should not and whispers creep through the dark. Terrified she has invited the Devil into her home, she makes a desperate choice with consequences that will echo through centuries. Centuries later, Claire does not believe in ghosts, until she returns home to care for her dying father and finds her childhood house listening. Sleepless nights convince her that something has been waiting beneath the floorboards for a long time. Both women are plagued by visions, waking with unexplained injuries, and questioning their own minds. They come to the same chilling conclusion: something is in the house. To survive, Edith and Claire will need each other. The only problem is they are separated by four hundred years, and time is running out.”
