Trick or Treat Bags For Halloween 2025

Last year, I ran out of treat bags quite early, that I knew for Halloween 2025, I’d have to increase the numbers. But is it still cheaper?

I explained last year that I do this to budget the cost and get the most for my money. Outside of offers, chocolate bars cost around £4.00 and contain, on average, 14 pieces. You can also get a bag of 10 mini Haribo packets for £1.50.

This year, I managed to pick up…

Large orange "Happy Halloween" bucket filled with assorted candies and novelty prizes, including a Haribo party box, "Shocking Sherbet Straws," and individual treat bags with pumpkin-themed packaging. The bucket is on a table with a patterned cloth.
  • Cellophane bags (100 pieces) – £2.80
  • 2 boxes of mini bags of Haribo (100 pieces) – £9.50
  • 4 bags of candy sticks (100 pieces) – £4.00
  • 3 bags of popping candy (90 pieces) – £3.00
  • 4 bags of sour sherbet sticks (160 pieces) – £4.00
  • 2 bags of gummy eyeballs (80 pieces) – £4.00
  • Assortment of stickers (Approx 1000 pieces) – Free from a friend but I can make them myself.

I also picked up balloons but the bags were full enough, so I’ll save them for next year. In total I spent £27.30 for 100 bags. Although I only filled 80 for trick or treaters, the rest are for family and friends.

When coming to put these together, it’s a little me time too. I always stick a film or a series on. This year I decided to watch Criminal Minds reruns and started filling up the treat bags. Here is what they looked like half way through…

Piles of clear plastic treat bags on a patterned tablecloth, each containing a colorful assortment of Halloween-themed stickers like witch hats and pumpkins. A blurred orange candy bowl is visible in the background.

And here they are finished and ready to give out!

And this isn’t all of them! I had to put half of them in a tote bag as they were too big for the bowl!
