The Disney Tag

It’s no secret that I am a huge Disney fan, so it was a no-brainer that I would end up doing this tag! After doing my 90’s Tag post, I found loads more on Blogger and YouTube that I wanted to do.

It got me thinking that it’d be a great chance to reflect on myself more in my blog and give new readers a chance to know me whilst loving what I post. It’d also be lovely to see more people do them too.

1. Favourite Character?

I have so many favourite characters, but I always go back to Thumper. Just look how adorable he is.

2. Favourite Princess?

I honestly love them all. There is nothing I love more than putting on a Disney Princess film, but if I had to choose…I’d probably say Tiana. She’s just so hardworking, has a lot of ambition and she’s full of sass.

3. Favourite Prince?

Prince Philip. Although all the Disney Princes either battle the villain or go through hell (literally in Hercules’ case!) to get their princess. This one battled a dragon. I just find it so “medieval fairy tale” picture perfect.

4. Favourite Sidekick?

I love Gurgi, Jaq & Gus Gus, Archimedes and The Genie, along with so many more! This was really difficult in a way, because I wouldn’t say this character was a sidekick anymore. With all their solo movies. But, I’d say my favourite was Tinkerbell. She’s so pretty, has a little bit of an attitude, but is so protective.

5. Favourite Villain?

Hands down Dr Facilier. I do have soft spots for other Disney Villains, but I love the whole Witch Doctor / Halloween feel to him. I also think he has one of the best styles of music in the Disney repertoire.

6. Favourite Original Character? (Mickey, Minnie….etc)

It’s got to be Mickey & Minnie. They are the staple of Disney and you just can’t pick one or the other as they’re a pair.

7. Favourite Love Song?

I very nearly said my favourite would be ‘A Tale As Old As Time’. But every time I watch Tangled and hear ‘I See The Lights’, I can’t help but fall in love with the song. I wouldn’t say it was Disney’s most stand out love song, but I love how it makes them both realise what love is to them and each other.

8. Favourite Song?

Again, it was hard to pick a favourite song but I sing ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love’ all the time (The Hercules soundtrack is probably one of my favourites!).

9. Favourite Villain Song?

I think a lot of people forget that The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Disney film. It was a toss up between ‘Kidnap The Sandy Claws’ and ‘Oogie Boogie’s Song’. But seeing as Oogie Boogie is more of a villain in the film, I’d say that his song was more appropriate.

10. Least Favourite Song?

‘I Will Go Sailing No More’ from Toy Story. First, the singer kinda mumbles the words as he sings. I understand it’s to give a sad effect, but you can’t make out some of the lyrics. Secondly, I don’t understand why they’d use the metaphoric lyrics of not going sailing when Buzz Lightyear flies. It’s just a confusing song to me.

11. Favourite Kiss?

Miss Bunny & Thumper! Just look how cute!

12. First Movie I Saw?

I believe the first Disney movie I saw was Winnie the Pooh. I can remember having them on video before any other Disney Film.

13. Favourite Classic Movie?

The Black Cauldron hands down. I freaking love this movie and it’s so underrated. When I discuss Disney Movies with friends or just in general with fellow Disney Lovers, a lot of people still haven’t seen it. A lot of them say it seemed to be quite scary as a child. If you haven’t yet, I’d say you’d have to watch it!

14. Song That Always Gets Stuck In Your Head?

Recently it has been How Far I’ll Go from Moana. It is a great soundtrack and I keep getting the song stuck in my head, funnily enough, when I’m stressed.

15. Favourite Prequel/Sequel?

There are so many good ones, but I would have to say Monsters University. I could watch it again and again. It’s so funny, a great prequel story and I think the characters are brilliant.

16. Movie That Makes You Laugh?

Emperors New Groove! It’s so well written, really funny and witty. It’s got so many one-liners and catch phrases that I remember using as a kid.

17. Movie That Makes You Cry?

I cry at everything, especially a Disney movie. I think everyone will agree that UP! will make you ball in the first 5 minutes.

18. Saddest Scene?

Apart from Up! I’d say the scene where Lilo tries to save Stitch in Lilo & Stitch 2. It brings back every memory of a pet you’ve lost.

19. Saddest Death?

It’s got to be Mufasa in The Lion King. I think again that is something a lot of people will agree on and it just pulls at your heartstrings. Bambi is another one that comes to mind and I think what makes them so sad is the child’s voice when asking for their parent.

20. Favourite Quote?

There are a couple that I love that are uplifting and positive, but I think Walt Disney says it best.

I’d love to see what your answers would be. Comment them below or let me know about your Tag post on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

As always, thanks for reading…
