Megababe Happy Pits Detoxifying Underarm Mask // The August Review

If you read last year’s The August Review, you’d know I’ve been trying to brighten my underarms, when I came across Megababe, I had to try out their Happy Pits Detoxifying Underarm Mask.

Megababe Happy Pits Detoxifying Underarm Mask – £14.00

The brand describes the product as:

“This detox mask is powered by charcoal and kaolin clay, purifying extracts that draw toxins to the surface of your skin. A cocktail of glycolic acid and willow bark gently exfoliates and clarifies while tea tree oil calms redness and vitamin C brightens and rejuvenates your skin. Just apply the applicator tip directly to clean, dry underarms, wait for it to works its magic (five minutes to be exact) and rinse it off.”

Pros:

  • Brightens.
  • Exfoliates.
  • Leaves underarms soft.
  • Which has softened ingrown hairs.
  • Doesn’t smell strong.

Cons:

  • A little messy.

The Verdict:

Finding Megababe has been a godsend for my underarms. I had already been using glycolic acid to help brighten them. This has glycolic acid in it!

My underarms are brighter, smoother and I’ve noticed that I have less ingrown hairs. Bonus! I will say that it is a little messy to use. The brand recommend squeezing and applying it straight to clean underarms. There is a little rounded applicator attached to the bottle. I find this smudges on the bottle and onto my hand when I apply it that way. So, I squeeze it into my hand and apply.

I have re-bought this a few times. It isn’t something that fixes my dark underarms completely, but really improves the look.

As always, thanks for reading…
