Matrix Total Results High Amplify Volumising Shampoo and Conditioner // The August Review
Back today with more hair products I’ve been loving this year; next up is the Matrix Total Results High Amplify Volumising Shampoo and Conditioner.
This duo is designed specifically for fine, flat hair, so it sounded right up my street. And while I don’t always want huge amounts of volume, I do love products that leave my hair feeling light, clean and full of life.

Matrix Total Results High Amplify Volumising Shampoo and Conditioner (300ml) – RRP £26.00
The brand describes the product duo as:
“Transform lack-lustre locks with the Total Results High Amplify Shampoo and Conditioner from Matrix Biolage. Working to cleanse and condition hair, the duo works in tandem to create definition and plump skinny strands for ultimate volume. E.N.

Pros:
- Both leave my hair feeling lightweight.
- The shampoo cleans my hair without making it feel stripped or dried out.
- The shampoo also lathers up nicely and rinses out easily.
- The conditioner is nourishing without leaving my hair feeling greasy.
- The conditioner also leaves my hair manageable, and I don’t have the post-shower brush battle.
- The duo works really well together for fine hair. A really good everyday shampoo and conditioner combination.
Cons:
- It can be difficult to get hold of. It’s not always as readily available as some other high-street haircare brands.
- It’s on the pricier side, particularly if you’re buying both products separately. Because of the price and availability, it’s worth keeping an eye out for offers and bundles.
The Verdict:
I really like this shampoo and conditioner duo. It’s one of those combinations that doesn’t necessarily feel revolutionary when you’re using it, but you notice the difference when your hair is dry and styled. My hair feels lightweight, clean and much less weighed down.
The shampoo is probably my favourite of the two. I like that it cleans my hair properly without leaving it feeling stripped or squeaky. The conditioner is also a winner. It manages to be nourishing and leave my hair feeling soft without that greasy, heavy feeling that some conditioners can give me.
I feel this duo leaves my hair easier to detangle, which is brilliant when you have long hair like me. I’ve also found that I have shinier hair with less split ends and breakage.
The only issues are availability and price. This isn’t always the easiest range to get hold of, and the duo is definitely more of an investment than some of the shampoos and conditioners you can pick up from the supermarket.
That said, I think it’s worth keeping an eye out for those offers because I really do enjoy using this range. If you have fine or flat hair and want something that gives you that lovely lightweight feeling without your conditioner making your hair greasy, this is definitely one I’d recommend trying.
My Rating: ★★★★☆ (4/5 Stars)
As always, thanks for reading…
