For today’s Calendar Countdown, we’re taking a look at the LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar.

As always, these posts are based on my own opinion. I’ll be comparing the calendar with previous versions, other advent calendars on the market, and most importantly, whether I think you’ll get your money’s worth from the products inside.

I don’t buy every calendar I feature because, quite honestly, that would be a huge waste of products! Instead, I’m looking at them from the perspective of someone who loves beauty, has years of retail experience, and thinks advent calendars are a great way to discover new brands and try products you might not otherwise pick up.

How does it compare to last year?

This advent calendar has had a steady price increase in the last few years. In 2024, the calendar was priced at £100.00. In 2025, the price increased to £105.00. Now, in 2026, the price has increased again to £120.00, while the stated value has reached over £665.00. There are 27 products this time, but 19 are full size.

The stated value has increased by £100.00, and the number of full-size products has risen from 13 to 19. That’s actually a pretty impressive progression.

The question, of course, is whether the products themselves justify that £120.00 price tag…

Who would I recommend this to?

This would be a good choice for you if you:

  • Love discovering luxury and cult beauty brands
  • Want a mixture of skincare, makeup and haircare
  • Enjoy trying both established favourites and newer launches
  • Recognise lots of the brands stocked by LOOKFANTASTIC
  • Prefer an advent calendar with a strong selection of full-size products
  • Want to try newer cult brands such as Medik8, Clinique, MAC, Benefit, Color Wow and ELEMIS
  • Have £120.00 to spend on a beauty advent calendar

I’d probably skip it if you:

  • Have a strict advent calendar budget
  • Already own lots of products from the brands included
  • Would struggle to use enough of the products to justify the £120.00 price

My Thoughts

I have to admit, I was really curious to see what LOOKFANTASTIC would do this year after how impressed I was with the 2025 calendar. And I think they’ve done a pretty good job.

Yes, there has been a £15.00 increase, taking the price from £105.00 to £120.00. But I think the increase in full-size products helps to make that price rise easier to swallow. Going from 17 full-size products last year to 19 this year is a definite positive.

There are some really good products in here, too. Medik8, LANEIGE, Aveda, Benefit, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Color Wow, Clinique, MAC, Laura Mercier and ELEMIS are all brands that immediately stand out to me. The Avant eye cream and ELEMIS night cream are also particularly high-value inclusions. While products such as the MAC Fix+ and Benefit Roller Lash are the sort of recognisable beauty staples that make a calendar feel exciting.

I also really like the balance between skincare, makeup and haircare. It doesn’t feel overwhelmingly skincare-heavy, which I have mentioned before can happen with some of the larger beauty retailer calendars.

The biggest thing I’d consider is the £120.00 price tag. It’s still significantly cheaper than many of the big luxury multi-brand calendars on the market, and £120.00 for 19 full-size products is a pretty compelling proposition.

However, as always, the £665.00+ value doesn’t automatically mean it’s worth £120.00 to you. If you don’t use hair products, for example, the Aveda and Hair by Sam McKnight products aren’t going to feel like £75.00 of value.

For me, though, this is looking like another strong LOOKFANTASTIC offering.

There are no product repeats from last year’s calendar. There are familiar brands, but the products themselves have changed, which makes this feel like a new calendar rather than last year’s leftovers with a few things swapped around.

After three years of watching the LOOKFANTASTIC calendar increase in price, I do think we’re starting to reach the point where I’d want to look more carefully at the contents before buying. But compared with many of the £200.00+ beauty calendars now available, I still think this calendar offers a lot for the money.

If you liked last year’s advent, I think there’s plenty here to tempt you again.
