Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dark Spots Protection Fluid // The August Review

Next up in The August Review, the anti dark spots SPF by Garnier. This one had a few surprises, so I was curious to see how it would fit into my daily routine.

White rectangular bottle of Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dark Spots Protection Fluid SPF 50+, with an orange flip-top cap and label text in green and orange.

Garnier Ambre Solaire Anti-Dark Spots Protection Fluid – £12.99 RRP

The brand describes the product as:

“Garnier Ambre Solaire Super UV SPF 50+ Hydrating Protection Fluid is enriched with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. The ultra-light formula is absorbed instantly and offers daily hydration without leaving a greasy finish. Very high SPF protection to help prevent sun induced dark spots and protect against pollution induced oxidative stress.”

Pros:

  • Not oily or greasy.
  • Great coverage.
  • Love the thinner spout.
  • Great under makeup.
  • No white cast.
  • Leaves a hydrated finish.

Cons:

  • Isn’t as sweat proof as other SPF’s by the brand.

The Verdict:

I really like this SPF, the thinner spout makes it easy to control how much you use, and a little goes a long way (though of course, you should always apply generously).

It leaves no white cast, feels soft and hydrating on the skin, and layers beautifully under makeup without pilling.

The only drawback is that it isn’t as sweat-proof as some of the other SPFs in the brand’s range. I definitely had some stinging eyes at the gym, so it’s worth keeping in mind if you’re particularly active.
