5 Golden Globes Looks I Fell In Love With

The Golden Globes kicked off in Beverley Hills last Tuesday night. It’s been too long since I posted about red carpet fashion. It won’t be something everyone loves to read about. For me, pretty dresses are a form of escapism. Here are 5 Golden Globes looks I fell in love with.

Jenna Ortega

Jenna Ortega, star of Netflix’s hit show Wednesday, wore this gorgeous Gucci dress paired with jewellery from Tiffany’s. This is world’s away from her character’s style.

I love everything about this, from the colour to the cut. I personally sometimes find that younger celebrities can be harder to dress. Some want to dress to the fashions, some want to be edgy and some want to look older. And although there is nothing wrong with any of those choices, it can be difficult to do.

Jenna absolutely killed it here. I feel she looks like a fashionable young woman, with that edge she carries in a lot of her other red carpet looks. But, the look is also incandescent to a Golden Globes Red Carpet.

Angela Bassett

A goddess in Pamella Roland and Chopard, the actress who won ‘Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role’ stunned in silver sequins.

I have always found Angela dresses perfectly to her silhouette. But I have never seen her have this high neck cut on a red carpet before.

Her makeup artists also complemented this how look so well with the cut crease eye and winged liner.

What you cannot see in this image is the cascading crystal back detailing that peeks out perfectly under her short curls. This is classic Golden Globes.

She is just so stunning. I’m in love.

Jamie Lee Curtis

The epitome of too cool for school, actress Jamie Lee Curtis wore Valentino and Cathy Waterman.

Not only do I feel this is 100% Jamie Lee Curtis, it’s also classic red carpet with a twist.

And you can never go wrong with black!

The jumpsuit, paired with the floor length lace cape piece over the top, brings modern and classic Hollywood together. It’s playful, has this lovely symmetry to it and has all the drama in the movement.

It also looks like it was really comfy!

I can see Jamie setting the trend for capes on the runway in 2023.

Love it, love her.

Jessica Chastain

My jaw dropped. Jessica Chastain sparkled in this semi-sheer gown by Oscar de la Renta. Paired with Gucci rings.

This dress is a masterpiece. You can tell the designers, seamstresses…all who took part in its creation have such amazing talent.

It was seeing this dress that made me want to review red carpet looks again.

The Good Nurse actress slicked back her hair, kept the neckline jewellery free and let the dress do the talking.

The high strapless cut accentuates the spiderweb design and does everything for her figure.

Jessica really stole the show.

Daisy Edgar-Jones

This was my personal favourite of the night. Daisy Edgar-Jones was beautiful in Gucci and Cartier.

This is glamour.

The structured corset top was the perfect length before descending into the layers of tulle.

I am not the biggest fan of a mermaid cut dress because I always feel the need for the style, to show as much leg as possible, before the tulle or flared material comes in, it can look choppy.

Here, it hugs her figure, is designed with many different, complementing materials and patterns, whilst having an almost 1920’s feel.

I am so in love with this dress. Gucci really pulled it out for Daisy’s attendance.

Stunning, gorgeous, A++.

And there we go, 5 Golden Globes looks I fell in love with. In all honesty, I fell in love with many more and it was difficult to narrow it down.

Which was your favourite? Would you wear any of these?

As always, thanks for reading…
