Compared to last year’s release, there are 4 repeated products in the advent calendar.
What is different to last year?
Moving on from the heart-shaped box, the brand is still proving just how creative they can be with this stunning gold chest.
This feels so on-brand for Charlotte Tilbury. Buying and using her products already feels like striking gold, so a treasure chest makes perfect sense. And of course, it’s reusable. Something Charlotte Tilbury always does with their advent calendars. But honestly, I think this one works as a display piece all year round, unlike last year’s red heart.
My Thoughts
With a price increase of £5.00, bringing it to £175.00, this year’s advent calendar comes with more full-sized items and fewer repeats.
That really surprised me, because the advent has always been a way for people to try out Charlotte Tilbury’s most popular products. The fact that there are fewer repeats now shows that more of her products are becoming people’s everyday go-to favourites. It feels like the brand is recognising that and giving fans a little more variety to enjoy.
As I’ve said before, £175.00 for an advent calendar won’t fit into everyone’s budget, but with a total value of £260.00, it does offer a good return for the spend.
For me, this one always puts me on the fence. It’s beautiful and packed with amazing products, but it’s definitely an investment piece rather than an impulse buy.
