Trick Or Treat Bags For Halloween 2018

Every year, I post about the treat bags I make for my family’s children, and there will be a post about this year’s next week. Today I wanted to show the treat bags I have done for trick-or-treaters.

The image shows a Halloween-themed scene with various items on a marble surface. In the center is a small bag with a jack-o'-lantern face, with the text "Happy Halloween" written on it.. Small white marshmallows and orange fairy lights are scattered across the marble surface. To the left is a plastic bag filled with Halloween-themed treats, and to the right is a black balloon and a vampire tattoo.

As a disclaimer, I was inspired to do this after seeing many ideas on YouTube and Pinterest. I’m not suggesting you should do the same; I just thought this might give you another idea for treat bags if you make them. I decided to go this route because last year I went through eight bags of mini chocolates, each costing over £2. Doing this, I was able to put together 100 of these treat bags for £12.00.

Here are some photographs of what I accumulated;

The image shows a Halloween-themed treat bag on a marble surface. The bag features a large orange pumpkin with a jack-o'-lantern face and the text "Happy Halloween" written on it. There is also a small bat and a witch's hat attached to the pumpkin. A black balloon with a spiderweb design, a spider figure and a skeleton sticker are placed next to the bag.
The image shows two bags of sweets on a marble surface. On the left is a bag of white mini marshmallows from "Cake Angels," and on the right is a bag of Nestle Smarties Mini candies.

Each bag contains a balloon, a plastic glow-in-the-dark spider, a tattoo, a small box of Smarties, and some mini marshmallows.

I picked up most of these items from supermarkets, online fancy dress stores, and Baker Ross. To package everything, I used cookie bags from a website last year (which I can no longer find), but several stores on Amazon offer similar designs.

I’m really pleased with how these turned out—they’re something different. My area gets a lot of trick-or-treaters, around 60-70 kids last year, so I made 100 bags to be safe.

What do you do for Trick Or Treaters? Do you go all out for Halloween?

As always, thanks for reading…
