How many products are repeated?
With only 1 repeated product in the advent calendar this year, I wanted to highlight that it’s the concierge card. Although it’s a repeated product, it could offer a different experience for the buyer.
What is different to last year?
Keeping the same structure, Selfridges has decided to go with their brand’s signature yellow, which I love. It’s bright and vibrant, adding to the reusable factor. There are some newer brands in the advent calendar this year, too. It’s great to see how they include new lines.
My Thoughts
Priced at £250.00, this year’s advent calendar is £30.00 more than last year’s. The overall value is similar, but the inclusion of newer product lines likely contributes to the price increase.
I always say that an advent calendar like this may be worth it in terms of value. But unless you know you’ll use every product, and those products work for you, is it really worth £250.00? For me, it isn’t. There are many gift sets from various brands available at this time of year. I’d definitely consider those or ask at the counters of your local Selfridges.
