Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation // The August Review
This was one of the main reasons I wanted to try Rare Beauty, the light touch weightless foundation. I have not been disappointed.
Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation – RRP £29.00
The brand describes the product as:
“An innovative breathable Liquid Touch Weightless Foundation that combines the weightless feel of a serum with buildable medium coverage for truly layerable wear. The super fluid, serum-like texture makes it easy to build and blend your coverage just how you like it while evening out skin tone and smoothing the look of pores-no clogging or caking. Plus, the mess-free, doe-foot applicator lets you apply 1 dot at a time-all you need to cover your entire face!”
Pros:
- Is lightweight.
- Buildable coverage.
- Long lasting.
- Works well with and without a primer.
- Doesn’t crease or split around breakouts and pores.
- Blendable.
- Has a lovely dewy finish.
Cons:
- Not a fan of the doe foot applicator.
- Better applying with a sponge.
The Verdict:
I am in love with this foundation. I don’t think I have ever had one so lightweight and yet it gives me the coverage I want. This hasn’t ever cracked around my breakouts or drawn attention to large pores. It does powder down nicely for a more matte finish. Although, I’ve really liked finishing with a setting spray to keep it looking dewy. Perfect for the summer months.
I’m still not crazy about the doe foot applicator. But, this also doesn’t soak up a lot of product, so it is easier to clean. I do prefer to use a damp sponge rather than a brush to give more coverage.
As always, thanks for reading…
