It’s All About The Pumpkin!
Pumpkin is perfect for the skin. Pumpkin enzymes contain Vitamin A and Vitamin C, as well as alpha hydroxy acids (AHA), which remove the top layer of dead skin. This helps soften and soothe dry, cracked skin while boosting collagen production. Although most AHAs offer these benefits, pumpkin enzymes are especially gentle, making them suitable for most skin types.
With winter coming, it’s important to change your skin care routine to cater to the colder and harsher weather. Here are three skincare products that you can easily incorporate into your routine. To give your skin the best over the next few months.
Elemis Superfood AHA Glow Cleansing Butter
This is an ‘apply to dry skin’ cleanser, perfect to use with a flannel for that extra bit of exfoliation.
Most cleansing butters are designed to break down makeup, oils, and any impurities on your face. This one, in particular, has a silk-like texture, and you’ll be surprised by how little you need—a serum-sized amount is recommended.
At £35.00, it’s on the higher end budget-wise, but as a morning cleanser, it offers an extra glow and hydration to start your day, which is a great bonus

Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
Peter Thomas Roth is one of the leading skincare brands in the USA. I’ve noticed more people incorporating their products into their daily skincare routines, while others treat the brand as a skincare indulgence.
For me, at £52.00 a tub, Peter Thomas Roth is ‘out of budget’ and something I reserve for special treats or gifts.
This mask is one of my favourites to use, but it’s one to apply sparingly. It’s intended to be applied as a thin layer, massaged into the skin with wet fingertips, and left on for 3–7 minutes, depending on your skin’s sensitivity. I usually leave it on for 4–5 minutes, and while I do experience some redness afterwards, it fades quickly. You can use this mask 1 to 2 times a week, but I prefer to use it once every 10 days.
I cannot stress enough that this product is highly potent. I’ve seen people apply a thick layer, feel tingling or irritation, and claim it doesn’t work. Of course, it won’t suit everyone, but I’ve had incredible results with it, and many others I know have too. It’s given me the smoothest skin, and my makeup applies effortlessly afterwards. However, I would caution that this isn’t a product for skincare beginners.

Kate Somerville Exfolikate Glow Moisturiser
This product is known as Kate’s three Ps for perfect skin: pineapple, pumpkin, and papaya enzymes.
As a daily moisturizer, it’s gentle and delivers quick results. I noticed a significant difference in just four days! For me, it addressed dullness, dryness, and texture, and I’ve also seen it help improve uneven skin tone.
I won’t sugarcoat it—this product is very pricey at £43.00 for 50ml.
If you’ve tried all the drugstore moisturizers and are ready to invest in something higher-end, I’d recommend starting with this. Chances are, you’ll find it hits the mark right away.
However, there is a warning: this product can increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and may heighten the risk of sunburn. Winter sun is no joke, so I prefer to use this in the evening only.

It’s important to note that you don’t need to use all three of these products every day. Overloading your skin with AHAs can be counterproductive and may increase sensitivity. These are simply suggestions if your skin feels dull and dry, and you’re unsure where to begin.
