Halloween Tag 2022

I saw Anna Williams do the Halloween Tag with her partner on her YouTube Channel as she packed orders for her small business, Plannerface. I loved watching them answer and decided this would be a fun blog post. You can click here to watch her video.

On to the questions…

Favourite horror or Halloween-themed song?

It has to be Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett.

If you could have a spooky halloween pet (black cat, owl, bat, rat, wolf), what would you pick?

I’d love a black cat and if it could talk like Salem from Sabrina The Teenage Witch, it’d be even better.

Are you superstitious?

I am on certain things, more in an ‘Old Wives Tale’ kind of way. I actually wrote a blog post called ‘What I’m Superstitious About’ which you can read by clicking here.

Do you believe in multiple dimensions or worlds?

Yes. I think that the whole way the world came together still leaves a lot unexplained. Why certain energies, forces, elements created our world. It’s like how certain medications can work in the body to fight infection. Why those medications? What is it specifically that means an antibiotic can cure that certain infection. It makes me sometimes wonder if this whole world is on it’s own version of The Truman Show.

Do you get scared easily?

Yes, more so in a jumpy way.

Do you believe in demons/the devil?

Yes and no. I believe there is something there and with that you always have the good and the bad. But the concept of a red horned person as the devil always seemed funny to me rather than scary.

Have you ever played with a Ouija Board?

Not properly. I remember going into, I believe you would call a Holistics Shop. With Tarot cards, crystals…everything like that. They had an ouija board set up with a glass in the middle and there was a card saying ask a yes or no question. I asked if anyone was there and nothing happened. I remember my friend telling me it’s freaky and to leave it alone. It may be something I’d want to try again.

Have you ever played Bloody Mary?

Yes. At primary school, It was the game played in the toilets on the night of the school disco.

Name something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark forest or in an abandoned building.

There are many things, a stranger, a zombie, a weird or aggressive animal…

The creepiest thing that’s ever happened while you were alone?

I don’t know whether I should admit to hearing voices, but once I was at home alone, my neighbours had gone on holiday and there is an entry next to my house but I could hear someone whispering. Although I couldn’t make out what was being said but it creeped me out for sure. I did go look in the entry but there was no one there, no one in the street and the dog hadn’t barked or alerted to me that someone was there.

If you were dared to spend the night in a “haunted house”, would you do it?

Yes definitely. I’d probably spend most of the time remodelling it in my head or snooping around.

Do you ever see figures in your peripheral vision?

I see shadows but never something fully shaped as a person.

You’re home alone but you hear footsteps in your house, what do you do?

Grab the baseball bat.

Would you ever go to a graveyard at night?

Yes. I honestly would love it, but I would need a torch and I’d like the pick the graveyard. I’d do some family history research whilst there.

Favorite scary book?

There isn’t a specific book in the horror or even gothic genre that has scared me. I have read a few True Crime books that have put me on edge, especially when they include unsolved crimes. If anyone has recommendations for scary books comment below, I like to read and would give it a go.

Favourite horror monster or villain?

Pennywise. Which is ironic as I love kids.

How old were you when you saw your first horror movie?

I’m unsure, I think I was around 8 years old when I saw scenes from IT with Tim Curry, I must have been around 12 or 13 when I sat and watched a horror movie in full and that would have been one of the Scream films.

You’re in a horror movie. Are you the final girl, the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, or the killer?

The Killer. I have way too much Forensics knowledge going to waste here. May as well put it to use 😂.

Do you prefer gore or thrillers?

Thrillers. I do not do gore *shudders*.

In a zombie apocalypse what is your weapon of choice?

A flamethrower or a baseball bat.

If you got trapped in one scary movie, which would you choose?

If I was trapped in a scary movie where I was involved in the storyline, I’d probably choose IT as Pennywise mainly goes after children. Watching the events unfold, then I’d like to see Laurie Strode kick ass in Halloween.

What was your first Halloween costume?

I wasn’t allowed to Trick or Treat as a kid, so I only started dressing up for Halloween during my university years. My first costume for Halloween was an army cadet. I did dress up a lot for Birthdays and New Year celebrations so I had costumes to choose from.

If you could only wear one halloween costume for the rest of your life, what would you be?

I’d probably pick something comfortable, so Michael Myers boiler suit is just a onesie and Ghostface is wearing a long dress. I know I wouldn’t want to wear something that requires a lot of makeup.

I’d love to know how you’d answer the Halloween tag. If you do please tag me on FacebookTwitterInstagram or Pinterest.

As always, thanks for reading…
