All About The Eyes // Creator Edition

This will be the last Creator Edition post for 2023 and it’s all about the eyes. If you are like me and love to scroll through Instagram and TikTok, you’ll find some amazing eye looks. Not everyone has the budget to get a costume. Not everyone wants to dress up. I thought if people still wanted a little Halloween flair…why not doll up the eye makeup?

Amy Johnston

Amy Johnston goes by A.J Artistry on her social handles. A UK based creator, she advertises her love for glam makeup. I came across Amy scrolling through TikTok, where she is killing it. Over on Instagram, I love her 32 series in which she is posting 32 different Halloween makeup ideas. They are all simplistic and affordable, yet bring all the Halloween feels.

Spider Eyes

When we think of classic horror, I think it’s easy to go towards Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster…etc and yet, we never think of creepy crawlies! This is such a glam look and perfect for a night on the town. I like how versatile it is. Here, Amy adds glitter, but it would be just as effective with a fake blood splatter for that spooky vibe. I was always told that you either have a bold eye or a bold lip. Amy shows that you can also have both!

Joker

I love when an artist can create a simpler way of being a character. You know straight away that this is The Joker. It is another glam take with the makeup and I am all here for it. I really liked how she incorporated all the characters colours into the eye makeup. And it all blended together beautifully. This is my favourite by Amy!

Medusa

I chose this, not just because it’s a gorgeous look, but because it doesn’t have to only be Medusa. This would be great adapted for Swifties too! Reputation Era anyone? I picked this as it’s a great quick makeup look to do. Although nice to have, not everyone has the time to sit for a couple of hours to get ready. I can see this being a good choice if you were going straight out from work.

Aisha Asunramu

Aisha Asunramu is another UK-based creator who caught my eye when I was looking at Clown tutorials on Instagram. She has the most gorgeous smile! When searching through her social media, I found more eye-focused makeup looks and that was the reason I decided to do an all about the eyes creator edition.

Blood Eyes

In a similar fashion to Amy’s medusa look. I chose this because it is so easy to put on top of your day makeup if you are leaving work or class and need to Halloween up! But I also chose this because it’s so simple to use on your kids. I was reminded that not every child would want a full face of face paint or want to wear a mask. It’s also super cost effective, which I have been more conscious of.

Purple Glam Skull

Skull Makeup looks have been done many times in the creator world and yet I couldn’t not include this one. Purple is such an underrated colour but also such a perfect Halloween one. Aisha calls this a purple twist, but I love the half skull twist. I also like the mix of white gems to mimic not having a white skull base with silver for the outline of the mouth. *chefs kiss*

Candy Lady

This may be giving Vanelope Von Schweetz from Wreck It Ralph, but it’s also giving cute go to for Halloween. I love candy themed makeup looks and Aisha has picked the perfect palette of tones for her creation. This is also one to try if you wanted to be creative with your outfit. Maybe go as “Candy Barbie”?

BabyLeska

BabyLeska, also known as Waleska is a US based creator. I came across BabyLeska when I was researching some anime looks for a friend. I haven’t looked back. She has created so many amazing eye looks some and I love how she pairs eyelashes to them. They really emphasise the look as well as honours her love of anime.

Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice is one of the biggest cult favourites in the Halloween Movie category. I’ve found if you love Halloween, you love Beetlejuice. Simple. You know who this is straight away. The green is that perfect Beetlejuice green and I really like that BabyLeska didn’t go for the snakes that many other creators have done. The glitter is such a nice touch too! This would pair with the costume so well.

Red Eyed

I loved seeing all the tools used to create all the circles needed for this look. I think many people see these really amazing makeup looks online and assume it is all free hand. BabyLeska is freaking talented. The shading is such a great detail that makes this look pop. I also think how she has lashed this really draws attention to the area whilst staying glam. I have been looking at anything round with a flat edge I could use to recreate this!

Bats

I saw these eye gems and immediately saw a more rounded eye of Sauron. The eye look that BabyLeska did before could have been created a lot easier with these gems. But I like how she created that look and has carried on an eye theme and with bats in this one! In my opinion, bats are overlooked a lot of the time, but the shape of them are so on point and gentle for placement on the face. I can see this being a great look if you are going on a pub crawl.

And that is the final post in this year’s Creator Edition, all about the eyes.

As always, thanks for reading…
