A Millennials Guide To Halloween Costumes // Duos (Part 2)

Last year, the ‘duos edition’ of A Millennials Guide To Halloween Costumes was the most viewed, so I had to do part 2!

The Black Suits

A black suit can be a staple in your wardrobe and versatile enough for multiple duo costumes. Often, all you need is to swap out the shirt colour or add accessories like glasses, a tie, or wigs. In this montage, I’ve chosen Mulder and Scully from The X-Files, Molly and Agent H from Men in Black, and Vincent and Jules from Pulp Fiction. But there are countless possible duos—you could even go as an FBI agent. I’ve selected items from ASDA, as I’ve worn their workwear before and recommend it. However, many supermarkets offer excellent, affordable ranges if you’re looking to pick up a suit purely for costume purposes.

Daphne & Velma from Scooby Doo

Daphne and Velma are an iconic duo. Well before the 2018 film. These are two easy looks to put together and I like how they can be changed to be warmer, and still be true to the character. For example, with Daphne, I picked a long-sleeved purple knit dress. And with Velma, I picked a jumper with a thermal layer. October can be cold in most countries there is no point in freezing. You could make other comfort changes, like wearing matching coloured boots or pumps instead of heels.

Tweedledee & Tweedledum from Alice In Wonderland

Of course, I had to give you a Disney option. I’ve seen Tweedledee & Tweedledum done before by Disney Bounders and thought it would be perfect for Halloween. Most of the pieces here are for men, but you could easily find items for women and even children too. I think this is a fun option and one I’d consider doing for a Halloween Party.

And that wraps up A Millennials Guide To Halloween Costumes, Duos Edition Part 2! I think there are so many ways to find a costume and make it something you would wear again. With the cost-of-living crisis, not everyone wants to spend £50+ on a licensed costume.

What duo would you choose?

As always, thanks for reading…
