It Was All Glitter & Gold at the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes brought out so much sparkle, with glitter ensembles and gold being a popular colour of the night. The red carpet was no stranger to some fashion icons, but I wanted to, once again, bring you five looks I absolutely adored.

Angelina Jolie

The image shows a woman (Angelina Jolie) standing on a red carpet in front of a backdrop of pale yellow and pink roses with the words "Golden Globes" in large gold letters. She is wearing a long, glittering silver and gold gown with long sleeves and a high scoop neckline. Her hair is styled in a soft half back style, and she has a confident, elegant pose.

Sporting a gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress, the iconic actress graced the awards as a nominee for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama. The Maria star, is no stranger to award shows and knows how to style herself.

The beaded embellishments are strategically placed to accentuate her figure. While the dangling pieces on her arms add a playful touch.

What stood out to me the most was the wrap style the beading created paired with a short cut at the bottom.

This design choice not only aids in walking the red carpet but also elongates her figure.

The color palette beautifully complements her skin tone, and when paired with a sleek, pulled-back hairstyle and simple earrings. It allowed the dress to truly shine.

Amy Adams

Amy Adams stunned on the red carpet at the Golden Globes, wearing a classic Dolce & Gabbana gown in a rich wine burgundy colour.

The dress featured a timeless off the shoulder cut that perfectly complemented her figure, exuding sophistication and charm.

Adams, nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in Nightbitch, was, in my opinion, one of the best dressed of the night.

The deep, luxurious tone of the dress beautifully complement her fairer complexion. Whilst the subtle sheen of the fabric added a touch of glamour.

Accessorised with delicate silver jewelry that provided a shimmering contrast. It was just the right amount of sparkle without overshadowing the gown’s simplicity.

Dakota Fanning

A woman (Dakota Fanning) stands on the red carpet in front of a backdrop filled with pale yellow and pink roses with "Golden Globes" written in large gold letters. She is wearing a strapless, flowing red gown with a high slit and a dramatic draped scarf around her neck that extends down her back. Her long blonde hair is styled in soft waves, and she has a bright, confident smile.

Dakota Fanning lit up the red carpet at the Golden Globes, where she was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role on Television.

Looking radiant in a strapless, flowing red gown by Dolce & Gabbana. Featuring a high slit that added a touch of daring.

The dramatic draped scarf around her neck, extending down her back, had an almost regal element to the ensemble.

Her long blonde hair was styled in soft waves, framing her face beautifully. Adding a romantic touch to her overall look.

Fanning’s bright red lip and confident smile complemented the vibrant hue of the gown, making her appearance even more red-carpet glam.

The combination of the bold color, sophisticated cut, and her graceful poise made Dakota Fanning one of the standouts of the evening. I mean, how can you not see this look and instantly say, “Yes!”?

Zendaya

A woman (Zendaya) stands on the red carpet in front of a backdrop filled with pale yellow and pink roses with "Golden Globes" written in large gold letters. She is wearing a strapless, burnt orange ball gown with matching high heels and a diamond necklace. Her brown hair is styled in soft 40's style waves as she poses confidently on the red carpet.

Zendaya never fails to turn heads, and her look at the Golden Globes was no exception.

The actress, nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Challengers, dazzled in a strapless, burnt orange ball gown that hugged her figure flawlessly.

Paired with matching coloured high heels, the outfit was a true showstopper. Her ensemble was complemented with a stunning diamond necklace by Bulgari, which to me screamed “New York Ritz, Darling!”.

Zendaya’s hair was styled in soft 40s-style waves, giving a nod to classic glamour while maintaining her modern edge.

As always, she posed confidently on the red carpet, proving once again that she’s the fashion icon to watch. With her choice of Louis Vuitton gown and Bulgari jewels, Zendaya set the standard for red carpet chic. Reminding us why she’s always the one to look for on such an important night.

Selena Gomez

A woman (Selena Gomez) poses elegantly on the red carpet, surrounded by onlookers. She is wearing a sleek, light blue, off-the-shoulder gown with a structured silhouette and a short train. Her hair is styled in a smooth, vintage-inspired side wave, and she is accessorized with a dazzling diamond necklace. She exudes grace and sophistication.

Selena Gomez stole the spotlight with my favourite look of the night, embodying classic Hollywood, red carpet elegance.

Nominated for two Golden Globes—Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture and Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy—she was one to watch that night.

The Prada off-the-shoulder, sleek light blue gown she wore was the perfect choice, accentuating her figure beautifully. The structured silhouette and short train added a modern twist to the timeless style.

Her makeup was flawless, perfectly complementing both her and her ensemble. Owning a makeup brand is one thing, but knowing your stuff is another. And Selena knows her stuff.

Her hair was styled in a smooth, vintage-inspired side wave, giving her a graceful, old-Hollywood vibe. She accessorised with a dazzling diamond necklace that added the perfect touch.

And there we go, all the looks I fell in love with. Although there may be glitter, there wasn’t gold. I feel it goes to show that what is on trend or the popular colour or style isn’t always your taste.

Did you like any of these looks? Which celeb wore your favourite outfit?
