Trick or Treat Bags For Halloween 2024

It’s Halloween 2024, and of course, I’ve put together some trick-or-treat bags. I started doing these when I realised just how much I was spending on treats. A bag of mini chocolate bars costs around £4.00 and contains, on average, 14 pieces. When I began, we were getting about 80 to 100 trick-or-treaters. Which meant I was spending over £30.00 on chocolate—just for each child to get a single mini bar.

Last year we had around 50 trick-or-treaters. So it would have cost me £16.00 if I wasn’t doing this. Instead…

This is what I got for the treat bags:

  • 1 box of mini bags of Haribo (50 pieces) – £5.00
  • 2 bags of candy sticks (50 pieces) – £2.00
  • 2 bags of popping candy (60 pieces) – £2.00
  • 3 bags of sour lollipops (Approx 18 pieces) – £3.00
  • 2 packs of ghost balloons (50 pieces) – £2.50
  • Assortment of stickers (Approx 300 pieces) – £4.00

This means £18.50, I have filled these little treat bags.

It takes time and is certainly a lot of effort. I usually put a movie on, start opening packets, and then organise and divide everything up.

Here’s a close-up of the stickers. Each trick-or-treater ended up with two frog stickers, two Halloween stickers, and two ghost stickers, as some of the packs came with large quantities of certain designs. I also added a few cute, non-Halloween stickers to mix it up.

Here is what one filled treat bag ended up looking like…

Here are all of them together and ready to give out!
