On The Second Week Of Christmas…
The Second Week of Christmas was a busy one yet again, but we have finally got the Christmas tree up! I am also mostly sorted with the shopping, bonus!
Problems With The Christmas Tree
Last year, we took our Christmas tree out of the loft and it basically fell apart. With less than 10 days to Christmas, we did a late night dash and bought a real one. He was a chunky boy! But, we needed to get another Christmas tree for this year. Ordered in August when the website had sales on, when we come to put it up this week we realised…we ordered new furniture. The tree doesn’t fit!
So, another last minute Christmas Tree order. That’s 4 Christmas tree’s now in the loft, if you count the two desk top ones! With all the kerfuffle, I will be putting the tree up on Halloween next year!
Shopping in Solihull
I love to different shopping centres over the festive season. Seeing all the decorations puts me straight in the festive mood.
The Touchwood shopping centre has a shop called Magical Story. Which basically turns into a Winter Wonderland this time of year. So many gorgeous decorations and the sweetest family of moose.
I also find going around John Lewis puts me in the festive mood. I did want to bring people’s attention to one thing John Lewis are doing. As you enter, there are these cardboard Christmas Trees with discs on. Each disc is an amount you can donate to Building Happier Futures when paying for your goods at the till. If you can, it’s a very simple way to help.
Lunch with Friends at The Harvester
For years, I didn’t get to see Kelly, Craig and Jack often because of how ill I was. Can you believe we’ve seen each other 4 times this year Kel? It was so lovely to catch up in person. Even though Kelly is one of those friends I speak to every day without fail!
Will have to get 5 meet ups in next year at least!
Also, look at that Chocolate Fudge cake! It’s not only the best reason to visit the Coventry Harvester location, David our server was brilliant.
School Christmas Carol Service
My cousin was unable to attend her daughters Christmas Carol Service this year. My mum and I were asked if we would like to go. It was so lovely to attend one of her school events. Being ill for so long, I missed out on so much. It was a little strange going back to my old school after 13 years!
And that was the second week of Christmas. Hope you are enjoying the weeks leading up to your Christmas!
As always, thanks for reading…
